Motion was appointed to support a planning application for a substantial office park on land adjacent to the A41 to the south of Bicester. In total, the scheme comprises 60,000 sqm of high quality office space along with approximately 1,800 car parking spaces situated in a beautifully landscaped setting.

One of the significant challenges on this project was accommodating the traffic on an already constrained highway network and taking account of ongoing growth in and around Bicester including that at adjacent Bicester Village, which is a leading designer outlet centre and a major tourist destination attracting over 5 million visitors a year.

Our involvement included developing a series of mitigation measures that enabled us to robustly demonstrate that the proposals could be accommodated without causing a severe impact on the local road network.
