Richard Bettridge
Richard is a Chartered Engineer and a Chartered Environmentalist. He holds an Honours degree in Civil Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Humanities.
With over 30 years’ experience, Richard has project managed Highways and Drainage Infrastructure schemes ranging in value from £0.5 to £8 million. He has a particular interest in flood defence, drainage and sewer design and construction. He acts as a consultant to the Lower Severn Drainage Board and an expert witness on flooding, drainage and engineering matters in court.
Richard is a past chairman of the Industrial Advisory Committee at Kingston University and is a regular speaker at sustainability events.
In his spare time, Richard enjoys skiing, spending time in Spain and watching football and rugby. He is an avid reader of first novels and is a fan of almost any type of music.
