Building confidence for tomorrow’s Thames Valley property development leaders

Almost two years after helping to establish RG Next Gen, Motion Transport Planner, Lucas Burgess, is clear about the benefits.

“Our aim was to facilitate networking and make it less of a daunting prospect for young professionals working in property development.  Speaking from personal experience, I can see first hand how RG Next Gen has helped me grow in confidence and make valuable connections.”

With other organisations in the region, Motion has helped to spearhead an initiative that brings together people from across Reading and the RG postcode area who are at the beginning of their career in property development.

“RG Next Gen events are a great way of meeting people at a similar stage of their career, to gain experience of working a room full of strangers and initiating conversations about their role in the industry,” Lucas explains.  From informal drinks gatherings to more formal CPD presentations about the business of property, RG Next Gen’s events attract a large following and continue to pull in new people each time.

By making it easier to connect across companies and conduct business, the initiative has contributed to driving the Thames Valley property industry and the wider regional economy.
